Juelfs Earns RMAC First-Team All-Academic Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its Men's Basketball All-Academic First team and honor roll Wednesday morning and Kade Juelfs earned first-team all-academic honors.

In the classroom, Julefs holds a 3.76 grade-point average as a Business Administration major. On the court, Juelfs helped the Mountaineers to an 11-17 overall record while going 8-14 in conference play. The junior led the Mountaineers in scoring with 13.0 points per game with 46-percent shooting from the field and a 42-clip from 3-point range in 27 games this season. Juelfs scored a career-high 34 points against Colorado Christian (Feb. 10) going 8-for-13 from the field, 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and 13-for-15 from the free throw line.  

Defensively, Juelfs registered 3.7 rebounds per game for the Mountaineers, while also collecting 22 total steals and 3 blocks this season. Throughout RMAC play, Juelfs registered 3.6 rebounds per game and 17 steals. Juelfs not only regostered career-high's offensively but hit career-hits on defense as well with nine rebounds against New Mexico Highlands (Jan. 20) and four steals against Adams State (Feb. 3).  
 
Western Colorado also had nine athletes – Mason Black (3.58), Daric Conkright (3.86), Trevin Lieck (3.83), Jaelan McCloud (3.87), Jonathan McCloud (3.47), Andrew Reichart (3.77), Avery Rembao (3.74), Christian Still (3.54) and Syris Williams (3.36) – all earned spots on the RMAC's honor roll.
