Aidan McDowell Selected D2CCA Second-Team All-American

INDIANAPOLIS  The D2CCA has officially announced its 2025–26 All-American teams, with Aidan McDowell earning Second Team All-American honors following a remarkable season on the court.

McDowell secured his place among the nation's elite after leading Division II in scoring, averaging an impressive 26.7 points per game. His standout performance throughout the season also earned him First Team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) recognition, along with D2CCA First Team All-Region honors—further cementing his status as one of the top players in the country.

Offensively, McDowell was nothing short of dominant. He scored 30 or more points in nine games and surpassed the 20-point mark in 25 of Western's 28 contests. Starting all 28 games, he led the RMAC with 227 field goals, finishing 41 ahead of the next closest player. His durability, efficiency, and scoring ability made him one of the most impactful players in the region and a driving force behind the Mountaineers' success this season.

His achievement is also historic, as he becomes the first Mountaineer since 1993 to earn Second Team All-American honors—and the first in program history to receive recognition higher than honorable mention.
