COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its Men's Basketball All-Academic First Team and Honor Roll on Monday afternoon, recognizing three players from Western Colorado University for their achievements both on the court and in the classroom.
Tyler Halligan earned First Team All-Academic honors, while
Camden Kilbride and
Christian Still were named to the conference's Honor Roll.
Halligan, a native of Green, Ohio, excelled in the classroom this season with a 3.97 GPA, earning him first team recognition. On the court, Halligan finished as the Mountaineers' second-leading scorer, averaging 10.9 points per game. He also averaged 4.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while starting 16 games this season. Halligan recorded six games with 20 or more points, with his season-high 29 coming against UCCS.
Kilbride played six games for the Mountaineers this season, averaging 3.2 minutes per game. He scored six points and recorded one rebound in the year, earning recognition on the RMAC Honor Roll.
Still appeared in four games for Western before his season was cut short due to injury. He averaged 2.3 points per game and totaled five rebounds and five assists. Still was also named to the RMAC Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.
The three Mountaineers were recognized by the conference for their dedication to both academics and athletics during the season.
