PUEBLO, Colo. Western Colorado track and field picked up another NCAA provisional qualifying time with Saturday's run by Lauren Willson at the Colorado State University Pueblo Last Chance Meet at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.
Willson's career-best time in the women's 1,500-meter run of 4:30.96 surpassed the provisional standard of 4:31.00. The altitude adjustment applied to her time should push that clocking down to somewhere between 4:24 and 4:25, which would rank within the top 20 on the NCAA Division II performance list prior to the many last chance meets occurring over the weekend.
Teammate Peyton Weiss was looking to better her previously-run provisional time in the 800 but fell short of that mark Saturday with a time of 2:15.07.
