COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Thursday afternoon the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference officially announced its All-RMAC performers and major award winners from the February 27-28 Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Western Colorado's program produced several first- and second-team all-conference honorees, led by first-team honorees and event winners
Lauren Willson and
Nykole Meshew.
Willson captured the title in the women's 3,000-meter run and Meshew claimed first place in the women's high jump.
Other first-team all-conference performances from Western's women's program came from
Myia Dantzler in both the 60-meter dash and the 200m dash, and
Kyla Wolitzky in the high jump.
Second-team honorees include
Natalie Kessler and
Alissa Rall in the 800m run,
Emma Kjellsen in the mile,
Annaka Rudolph in the 5,000m run, and
Addisyn Sweeney in the pentathlon.
The Mountaineer men's program earned first-team honors from Bandon Kolb in the high jump,
Shawn Carter in the triple jump, and
Brayden Jones in the pole vault.
Finishing with second-team honors were
Arvell Amos in the 200;
Tyler Nord in the 3,000;
Jan Thewes in the 5,000;
Joseph Purbrick in the 60m hurdles;
Aiden Ellebracht in the high jump;
Shaw Walker in the pole vault; and the distance medley relay team of
Gable Rial,
Will Stone,
Wyatt Hoover, and Nord.
