GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Maverick Invite #2 hosted by Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction Colo., came to a close Sunday and the Mountaineers walked away with an impressive showing on all fronts.
Running 14.18 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, Regan Thorne broke her own program record, which she had set just three weeks ago, while also securing an NCAA provisional mark in the event.
Sakara Harrison continued her impressive season with a standout performance in the women's 400. Running a 56.21, she is now seventh all-time in program history.
Eireann Donohoe moved up in Western's top-10 list with a mark of 5.79 meters (19 feet-0.00 inches) in the long jump, tying for sixth all-time in program history.
Braxton Walk, placing third in the men's long jump with a leap of 7.27m, is now eighth all-time in program history. Scott Grable also moved into the top 10 with a leap of 7.25m for ninth all-time in program history.
Laura Brignoli set a personal best Sunday in the women's pole vault, clearing a height of 3.73m (12-2.75) to move up to sixth on the all-time program list.
Garrett Watts claimed his second consecutive win of the season in Sunday's men's 5,000. Having won the 10,000 last weekend at the Maverick Invite and Multi, Watts secured this weekend's win in 15 minutes, 11.69 seconds. Fellow Mountaineers William Johnson and Patrick Jirele followed suit finishing second and third in the event with times of 15:15.92 and 15:20.07 respectively.

- Ali Aldrich won the women's shot put with a throw of 14.98m and placed second in the hammer throw with a toss of 51.73m
- Sammie Bretz placed second in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.64m
- Sam Burns placed second in the men's 110 hurdles with a time of 14.71
- Myia Dantzler placed second in the women's 100 with a time of 11.90
- Landon Gary was third in the men's 400 with a time of 48.74
- Philip Lawrence placed third in the shot put with a throw of 14.78m
- Kiarra Lapp placed second in the women's 800 with a time of 2:18.50
- Colton Stice won the men's 1,500 in a time of 4:03.44
- In her season debut, Julie Van De Walle secured a win in the 5,000 with a time of 18:44.00
