GUNNISON, Colo. The Mountaineers closed the regular season with the Western Colorado Open where they registered two more NCAA Division II provisional marks. All times are pending official conversions for altitude and track size. Â
WESTERN COLORADO OPEN HIGHLIGHTS Â
- Laura Brignoli hit another NCAA DII provisional mark in the women's pole vault competition with a mark of 3.78 (12 feet – 4.81 inches), which is .05m off her school record she registered last weekend. Sammie Bretz registered a provisional mark in the women's high jump competition with a mark of 1.68m (5-6.14) that is .04 off her season's best. Â
- Eireann Donohoe hit another NCAA DII provisional mark in the triple jump with a leap of 11.85m (38-10.53) after she set a personal best on the track with a time of 9.30 seconds in the 60m hurdles. Â
- On the track, Julie Van De Walle placed first in the women's 5,000m run with a time of 19 minutes, 26.01 seconds, followed by Haley Wood who finished with a time of 19:30.25. Â
- On the men's side, Philip Lawrence placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 16.25m (53-3.76). While Nate Early earned a pair of first place finishes in the high jump and 60m hurdles. He hit a mark of 1.90m (6-2.80) in the high jump after placing first in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.67. Â

The Mountaineers will travel to Spearfish, S.D., next week for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. The competition will begin on Friday, Feb. 23 and continue on Saturday, Feb. 24. Â
