GUNNISON, Colo. The Mountaineers completed a strong first weekend of competition with multiple NCAA Division II provisional marks and a pair of new facility records. Times are pending official conversions.

Simon Kelati dominated the men's 5,000m race setting the Mountaineer Fieldhouse record and is the second-best time on the performance list so far this season with an altitude-adjusted time of 13 minutes and 29.4 seconds. The time is also an NCAA Division II provisional mark.

Ali Aldrich is now second in the Mountaineers record books in the weight throw after finishing the competition with a mark of 18.83m (61-9). The mark also is an NCAA provisional mark and fourth on the performance list.

Tyler Nord set a Mountaineer Fieldhouse record with a time of 8:25.75 in the 3,000m. Nord's altitude-adjusted time of 7:54.95 is also the fastest the race has been run this season and an NCAA D II provisional mark.

Leah Taylor's adjusted-altitude time of 9:37.73 earned an NCAA DII provisional mark and also the eighth best time this season. Peyton Weiss also set an NCAA provisional mark in the mile with a time of 5:02.64 in her first collegiate track meet.

The Mountaineers will not compete again until 2024, when they hit the road to go to the CRC UCCS Invite on January 19th. and 20th in Colorado Springs, Colo.
