COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Western Colorado started the 2023-24 season at the CRC Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi by sending Eireann Donohoe, Ainsley Rosenow and Nate Early to compete in the pentathlon and heptathlon events.

Eireann Donohoe finished the Pentathlon in seventh place with a total of 3,299 points, an NCAA Division II provisional mark. She finished the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.36 seconds, before completing the 800m in a time of 2:43.04. In the field event, the junior finished the high jump with a mark of 1.62m (5 feet – 3.1 inches) and the long jump with a mark of 5.40m (17-7.1). In the shot put she recorded a mark of 9.47m (31-0.6).

Ainsley Rosenow finished the pentathlon with 2,776 points for a 15th place finish. She finished the 60m hurdles with a mark of 975, while running the 800m with a time of 2:58.68. In the high jump she recorded a mark of 1.47m (4-8.2), while in the long jump she finished with a mark of 5.05m (16-5.6). In the only throwing event of the pentathlon, the shot put, she recorded a throw of 9.29m.

Nate Early currently sits in 12th place (2,579) after the first four events of the men's heptathlon. In the 60m dash, Early finished with a time of 7.33 before competing in the long jump where he finished with a mark of 6.30m (20-6.6). In the shot put he completed the event with an 11.04m (36-2.2) throw. He concluded day one of the heptathlon with the high jump where he registered a mark of 1.78m (5-7.8).
UP NEXT
The Mountaineers will be back at it tomorrow (Dec. 9), with the final three events in the men's heptathlon and Donohoe will take part in the women's triple jump. The rest of the Mountaineers squad will compete at the Mountaineer Open, which begins at 11 a.m.
