Ragsdale Voted 1st-team All-RMAC

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Wednesday morning announced its 2021-22 Men's Basketball All-Conference Team, naming Western Colorado's Matthew Ragsdale to the All-RMAC first team.

Ragsdale finished the season second in the league in scoring with a 21.5 points per game average and led the RMAC in minutes per game (35.7).

The Mountaineers' leader in 3-pointers (70) and 3-point field goal percentage (.357), Ragsdale was fifth in the RMAC in both categories, while also finishing sixth in free-throw percentage (107-130, .823).

Over the course of the season, he scored in double figures 26 times (of 28 games), scored 20 or more points 16 times, and hit for 30 or more five times including a career- and program-best 53 points at Black Hills State University on December 3, 2021.

Over his three-year career at Western, Ragsdale has elevated from RMAC honorable mention (2019-20) to second-team all-RMAC (2020-21) to Wednesday's inclusion on the RMAC first-team list.

During the 2021-22 campaign he became the program's eighth player to surpass 1,000 career points, with a current total of 1,309 points.
