COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  Western Colorado's Joanis Koulisianis, after the final week of the regular season, has been voted the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Week.

Within Western's pair of wins in the week he was a force around the rim. Koulisianis pulled down nine rebounds while registering one block and three steals in a win at South Dakota Mines, following a win at Chadron State in which he had a season-high four blocks in addition to five rebounds.

He equaled his season high in scoring at SDM with a 19-point afternoon, after posting double digits at CSC with 13 points.

For the season, Koulisianis ripped down 132 rebounds, swatted away 38 shots, and had 11 steals, and reached double figures in scoring three of the last four games and six times throughout the 2025-26 schedule.
