COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. James Duncan and
Eddie Siuda were officially announced as first-team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) performers with Monday's release of the league's season-ending men's outdoor track & field awards, a listing that also included four other Western Colorado student-athletes who earned second-team honors.
Duncan earned his spot on the first-team list with a third-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, and Siuda raced to a first-team honor by finishing third in the 3,000m steeplechase.
Kyle Partin was a second-team award winner after finishing fourth in the steeplechase, and
Will Stone was a second-team honoree with a sixth place in the 400m hurdles.
Max Kittsteiner and
Scott Grable were second-team awardees in their respective field events. Kittsteiner placed fifth in the pole vault and Grable was fifth in the long jump.
All-RMAC first team honors are earned by finishing in the top three of individual events at the RMAC championship meet, while second team honorees placed in fourth through sixth place.
Monday's announcement also included the outdoor season's RMAC award winners:
- Track Athlete of the Year: Mateo Casados (Colorado Mesa)
- Co-Field Athletes of the Year: Chayton Bynes (Chadron State), KJ McInnis (UC Colorado Springs)
- Co-Freshmen of the Year: Aidan Brownell (Colorado Mesa), Trace Hanchett (Chadron State)
- Coach of the Year: Ross Fellows (UC Colorado Springs)
- Outdoor Track Performer of the RMAC Meet: McInnis
