COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Western Colorado's
Annaka Rudolph and
Peyton Weiss have been voted to the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Rudolph and Weiss were voted to the women's all-academic first team while 15 teammates earned recognition on the all-academic RMAC Honor Roll. The Mountaineers' men's track and field program saw 17 student-athletes named to the men's academic Honor Roll.
The RMAC release states that "Each institution's athletic communications directors nominate student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. The nominees must also meet the other criteria for the Academic Honor Roll.
These student-athletes are considered for the First Team Academic All-RMAC in each sport. The league's athletic communications directors for that sport vote to compose the First Team Academic All-RMAC and select the Academic Player of the Year.
They are not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes."
The Honor Roll recognizes those student-athletes in the sport who academically maintain at least a 3.30 grade point average, used a season of competition, and have completed more than two consecutive semesters at their current institution.
Both Rudolph, in the women's 10,000-meter run, and Weiss, in the 1,500m run, qualified for and ran at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, with Weiss earning All-America recognition with her seventh-place finish in her event.
Emily LaMena from Colorado School of Mines was named the women's outdoor track & field Academic Player of the Year, and Matthew Storer of Colorado Christian University was voted the men's Academic Player of the Year.
