Colorado Springs, Colo.,   The Western Coorado Men's, and Women's Cross-Country teams head down the road to compete in the UCCS XC Open.
The Mountaineers enter ten men in the men's 8K and ten women in the women's 6K.
The course consists mainly of a 2,000m lower loop and a 2,000m upper loop, starting and finishing on grass. The remainder of the course is crushed gravel and packed dirt.
In WCU's previous meet, the Cowboy Jamboree, Branden Davis placed 63rd with a time of 25:21.9. He was followed by Aiden Wieskamp, who finished 86th in 25:44.7.
On the women's side, Annaka Rudolph took 60th with a time of 22:10.2, and just a few moments later, Jayda Nix crossed the line in 64th at 22:16.9.
