HOW IT HAPPENED

• Junior Tyler Nord placed fifth individually but first for the Mountaineers and was the first NCAA DII athlete to cross the finish line.
• Second behind him was sophomore Oliver Diaz, coming in seventh overall and earning WCU seven points.
• Grad Student Jan Thewes and senior Esteban Reyes, respectfully, took the ninth and tenth spot in the competition.
• Seven other Mountaineer men placed in the top-20.
• On the women's side and by six-second, senior Allison Beasley ran through the finish line to take first place.
• Right on her trail were juniors Peyton Weiss and senior Lauren Willson whom, respectfully, placed third and fourth.
