Las Vegas, N.M.,  The Western Colorado Volleyball team travels to Las Vegas, N.M. to take on the Cowgirls in an RMAC match up on Saturday October 19 at 3 PM MT.
WESTERN COLORADO GOING INTO THE WEEKEND |Â 2024 STATS
- Western Colorado Volleyball enters this game coming off an RMAC road victory against Fort Lewis College (3-1).
- The Mountaineers placed 13th in the RMAC Volleyball Preseason Poll. They go into the weekend 6-11 overall and 3-3 in conference.
- WCU has a total of 851 kills, 744 assists, 91 aces, 1075 digs, and 94 blocks so far this season.
- Senior setter Nur Turkmenoglu has control on both sides of the ball with 625 total assists (9.33 per set), 54 kills, 23 service aces, 128 digs and 19 total blocks. Senior Seyun Park paves the way with 165 total kills (2.66 per set). Junior Pelin Aksoy is right behind with 146 kills (2.61 per set). Listed third in kills is junior Olive Rolseth with 135 (2.25 per set). A close fourth is senior Kennedy Kelly with 134 total kills (2.09 per set).
- Sophomore Chinaru Inoue is the front runner for digs with 304 (4.54 per set). Right behind her is sophomore Kacee Garcia with 138 digs (2.19 per set). Contributing to the defense is sophomore Kyra Kidd with 47 total blocks.
- Western Colorado played well on both sides of the ball in their previous game and are looking to carry that over into this weekend's conference match.
NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS GOING INTO THE WEEKEND |Â 2024 STATS
- The Skyhawks placed fifteenth in the RMAC Volleyball Preseason Poll. They go into the weekend with an overall record of 4-12 overall and 2-4 in conference.
- Highlands is coming off a home loss to RMAC opponent Metropolitan State University of Denver.
- NMH has accumulated 530 total kills, 487 total assists, 53 total aces, 812 total digs and 89 total blocks so far this season.
- Senior Angelina Burton paces the offense with 140 total kills (2.37 per set). Right with her is sophomore Jaylee Gonzales contributing 110 kills (1.93 per set).
- Junior setter Abby Carlsen has racked up 301 assists (5.19 per set).
- The defense is controlled by freshman Meg Pfannerstill with 139 digs (2.36 per set) then freshman Olivia Archuleta with 138 digs (2.71 per set) along with senior Jada Lawson who is top in blocks with 47.
