PUEBLO, Colo. Western Colorado shined at the CSU Pueblo Last Chance Invitational, resulting in two athletes earning provisional qualifying and personal best marks. The Mountaineers also had six top-three finishes.

PROVISIONAL QUALIFYING MARKS
- Ethan Coyhis was flying down the track in the men's 800m, resulting in him coming in first-place in a personal best time of 1:51.00. That time moves him up to sixth all-time and is a provisional qualifying mark. Additionally, as of Saturday (May 6) Coyhis is now ranked 22nd in Division II in the event.
- Moving up to third all-time in the women's hammer, Ali Aldrich recorded a provisional qualifying throw of 54.75m (179-07.00), earning her second-place. That mark improves her NCAA ranking to 20th in the event, as of Saturday (May 6).
CSU PUEBLO LAST CHANCE PERFORMANCES
- Two spots behind Coyhis in the men's 800m was Jeremy Killoy who crossed the finish line with a time of 1:53.34.
- Lauren Smith recorded a first-place in the women's pole vault, by clearing a height of 3.67m (12-00.50).
- Bounding to a first-place finish in the women's triple jump, Eireann Donohoe leaped to a distance of 12.11m (39-08.75).
- Coming in third-place in the women's long jump, Cora Olson jumped to a distance of 5.55m (18-02.50).
- In the women's 1,500m Emma Kjellsen came in seventh-place with a time of 4:34.31.
- Improving his season best time in the men's 1,500m, Ryan Outler Crossed the finish line in a time of 3:59.44. That time earned him 14th-place.

Western will send a few athletes down to California to compete in the APU Last Chance meet (May 12-13), as well as send a few athletes to Golden, to compete in the Mines Last Chance meet (May 13-14).
