AZUSA, Calif. Day two of the Bryan Clay Invitational proved to be even better than day one for Western Colorado – who had five provisional qualifying times and four personal best performances.
NCAA PROVISIONAL QUALIFYING MARKS
- Simon Kelati ran a spectacular race in the men's 5,000m, as he not only recorded a personal record. But, also had a provisional qualifying and ninth all-time performance, crossing the finish line in a time of 13:51.79.
- Similar to Kelati, Allison Beasley had an impressive performance in her debut in the women's 5,000m, crossing the finish line in a provisional qualifying and sixth all-time performance of 16:23.07.
- Tyler Nord also earned a provisional qualifying time in his debut in the men's 5,000m, crossing the line in a time of 14:03.64.
- Michael Grabowski ran a solid race in the men's 5,000m, as he earned a personal best and provisional qualifying time of 14:13.38.
- Cruising to a provisional qualifying time in her collegiate debut in the women's 5,000m, Leah Taylor crossed the finish line in a time of 16:40.21.
PERSONAL BEST TIME
- Kyle Partin achieved a huge personal record (PR) in the men's 5,000m, crossing the finish line in a time of 14:38.36. His previous PR in the 5k was 15:22.23.
- Ethan Coyhis improved his career best time in the men's 800m, finishing in a time of 1:51.73.
