ALAMOSA, Colo. Western Colorado had a great outing on Saturday at the ASU Qualifier, as they recorded 29 top-three finishes, nine of those finishes being first-place.
 
TOP-THREE FINISHES
Women

• Things went pretty well for the women's team, winning five events and also having ten other athletes finish in the top-three.
• The Mountaineers were impressive in the 200m, taking the top-three spots in the event. Elizabeth Johnson came in first-place (26.26) and was followed by Bella Miller (27.38) and Reece Mercer (27.66).
• Similar to the 200m, Western took the top-three spots in the shot put. Myles Hilbert led the way coming in first-place with a heave of 11.14m (36-06.75). Next was Lizzie James with a distance of 10.51m (34-05.75) and Lindsey Osterfelt with a mark of 10.37m (34-00.25).
• Recording the top-two times in the 60m hurdles, Clara Tuti crossed the line first with a time of 9.38 and not too far behind was Darby Downham who recorded a time of 9.66. Tuti and Downham also competed in the 400m. Tuti finished in second-place (1:03.06) and Downham was right on her heels finishing in third-place in a time of 1:03.06.
• For the jumpers, Emerie Rios came in first-place in the triple jump with a distance of 10.35m (33-11.50). Rios also competed in the long jump. Her distance of 4.89m (16-00.50) earned her second-place and Dani Socarras was really close to that Rios mark, recording a distance of 4.88m (16-00.25) which earned her third-place.
• Angelina Romano recorded a toss of 14.30m (46-11.00) in the weight throw which earned her first-place. A few spots down finishing in third place was Osterfelt who recorded a distance of 13.20m (43-03.75).
• In the women's 5,000m, Emma Berg came in at 20:18.23 which earned her second-place.
• Treslynn Robinson led the way in the 60m, coming in third place with a time of 8.23.

Men

• The men's team had solid performances across the board at the ASU Qualifier, resulting in them winning four events, and having several top-three finishes.
• Winning the 800m, Jeremy Killoy crossed the finish line with a time of 2:00.81 and a few seconds behind was Braydon O'Neill who came in second-place (2:05.52).
• Similar to the 800m, Western took the top-two spots in the high jump, Noah Mayfield finishing in first-place with a clearance of 1.85m (6-00.75). Braxton Walk was the next finisher for the Mountaineers with a mark of 1.80m (5-10.75).
• The long jump produced that same results for the Mountaineers, with Temesgen Fanning leaping to a first-place mark of 6.44m (21-01.50). Right behind him was Isiah Williams who recorded a distance of 6.02m (19-09.00). Fanning also competed in the triple jump, where he earned a second-place finish with a jump of 12.82m (42-00.75).
• The last event Western finished in the top-two spots was the weight throw. Philip Lawerence distance of 13.83m (45-04.50) was good enough for first-place and Cole Caskey mark of 10.47m (34-04.25) earned him second-place.
• In the 5,000m, Jacob Tyburski recorded a second-place finish, coming in at 16:12.44
• Nate Jackson represented the Mountaineers well in the men's 60m, coming in second place in a time of 7.08.
• Coming in third place in the men's 400m, Kennedy Martinez recorded a time of 51.76
