GUNNISON, Colo. Western Colorado will face two tough opponents – St. Mary's and Texas A&M International – on Friday (Sep. 9) and Sunday (Sep. 11) when they host their first games of the season.
MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
- Western Colorado has momentum heading into this weekend's games, after tie 1-1 against Dominguez Hills and defeating Nebraska Kearney 1-0.
- Brenna Wolfe had her first career goal in the win and is one of three freshman -Sarah Connolly and Reece Mercer being the other two who have recorded at least one goal this season. Wolfe, Kylee Smith, Natasha Kasozi and Caileen Sienknecht shots have been on point each having two shots on goal.
- In goal, Alex Peralta has had a solid season so far recording 16 saves, 1 shutout and a .800 save percentage.
RATTLERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
- St. Mary's has yet to lose a game this season, beating Southern Nazarene (4-0), Missouri Western State (3-1), Felician (7-1), and Fort Lewis (3-0).
- Offensively, they are led by Juni Ejere who has six goals over four games. Megan Copeland, Eliza Merrion, and Barbara Smith are just as dangerous each having two goals. Ejere (11), Sydney Varela (9), Copeland (7) and Merrion (6) have been putting their shots on goal and are the top-four in that category.

- Texas A&M International is off to a hot start so far this season, having the best start they have ever had in program history. They have defeated Missouri Western State (1-0), Regis (2-1) and Felician (4-1).
- Jacqueline Zapata is the leading goal scorer for the Dustdevils recording two goals, while Sammy Hecht, Alicia Martinez, Stefanie Petrova, and Krysan St. Louis each have one goal apiece. In the shots on goal category, St. Louis and Zapata are leading with six and five shots on goal and closely behind is Hecht with four.
- Goalkeeper Fabiana Solano has been impressive in goal recording a .857 save percentage (12 saves, 2 goals against) in three games played.
