COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Thursday released its women's soccer 2026 preseason All-RMAC team and preseason coaches' poll, with Western Colorado's Natsuki Murakami named to the all-conference squad and the Mountaineers showing up 10th in the coaches' poll.

Murakami, a senior midfielder and 2025 All-RMAC first team honoree, led Western in scoring during the 2025 season, scoring four goals for a team-high eight points, playing in 18 of 19 games and earning a starting nod in 16 games. Her 1,303 minutes played was fifth highest on the team during the 2025 campaign.

Murakami tied for the team lead in goals, with three, in the 2024 season and with her two assists, topped the scoring leaders with eight points.

For her career, she has poked in eight goals, dished off three assists, is a perfect 2-for-2 in PK attempts, and has accumulated 2,720 minutes of action over 50 games played.

Picked to finish 10th in the team rankings, the Mountaineers accumulated 47 points in the coaches' poll, which was led by Colorado School of Mines (134 pts.), Colorado Mesa University (132), and University of Colorado Colorado Springs (131).

Western has finished ninth in the final regular-season standings each of the past four seasons, missing out on the eight-team RMAC postseason tournament by one spot each of those years.
