TOPEKA, KAN. Western Colorado had a great outing at the Ichabod Invite on Saturday (Feb.12), leading to four out of eight runners earning provisional qualifying marks in their events.

Ichabod Invite Highlights (Feb. 12)
- Katie Doucette was impressive once again on the track, taking first place in the women's 5000 meters in a time of 16 minutes and 23.49 seconds, which is also a provisional qualifying mark and moves Doucette to fourth all-time. Alexia Thiros finished five spots down and also earned a provisional qualifying mark of 17:14.13.
- Allison Beasley also had a great outing taking second place in the women's final, crossing the finish line with a time of 4:59.54.
- The men's 5000m race also produced two provisional qualifying marks for the Mountaineers, as Cade Michael crossed the finish line in second place, recording a time of 14:13.05. Michael Grabowski was the other Western runner to earn a provisional qualifying mark of 14:24.58 in the event, which earned him 11th place.
- John Houdeshell earned a top-three finish in the men's 3000m coming in second place (8:23.70), while Jackson Schwartz finished four spots down in sixth place (8:37.74).
- Last and certainly not least, Ryan Outler took eighth place in the men's mile posting a time of 4:12.58. Â

The Mountaineers will host their final meet of the season on Friday, Feb. 18 as teams will come to Mountaineer Field House to compete in the Western Colorado Alumni Open.
