COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Thursday afternoon released its Academic All-Conference cross country teams, showing the Western Colorado quartet of
Allison Beasley and
Katie Doucette, and
Michael Grabowski and
Jacob Hernandez voted onto, respectively, the women's and men's all-academic first teams.
The Mountaineers also earned seven Honor Roll selections on the women's all-academic listing, and nine Western runners on the men's Honor Roll list.
Doucette and Grabowski earn their second consecutive first-team all-academic team honors, while Beasley and Hernandez are picking up their first.
Nominees for first-team voting must have a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.50, and Honor Roll runners must possess at least a 3.30. All nominees must have used a season of eligibility with the 2022 schedule.
Beasley and Doucette ran to NCAA All-American status at the Division II national meet on December 2, the second consecutive year in which the pair have earned those national honors.
All four first-team all-academic team honorees from Western also picked up All-South Central Region honors at the Nov. 19 regional championship in Denver.

Robert Scott from Western.
Western finished the season at the national meet in University Place, Washington, where the women placed eighth and the men placed ninth. Both programs extended an unbroken string of participation at nationals, stretching the string to 29 consecutive years.
