2024: Participated in the Mountaineer/Cowboy Open, the Chili Pepper XC Festival at the University of Arkansas, and the UCCS XC Open this season posting a best 8K time of 25:42.3 at the Chili Pepper.
2023: Ran a career-best 8k time of 25:49 at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival .. Participated in the Mountaineer Invite and the Colorado Springs XC open
2022:  8K time of 26:49.5 at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede.
High School: Fahrney comes to Western Colorado University from Battle Mountain High School where he was a two sport athlete, running cross country and track. In high school, Deagen ran a personal best of 15:56 for 5,000-meters in cross country. He is the son of Travis and Sara Deagen, and brother to Kaela.
