GUNNISON, Colo. Western Colorado will look to add to their three-game win streak on Saturday (Oct. 8) when they take on South Dakota Mines for homecoming.

MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATSÂ *Stats from Colorado Mesa game aren't included due to issue with their stats laptop.
- Western Colorado earned their third straight win and third Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference win on Saturday (Oct. 1), defeating Colorado Mesa University 42-34 in double overtime. Currently the Mountaineers are tied with Black Hills and Colorado School of Mines for first-place in the RMAC standings.
- In the run game, Josh Cummings is second in the league with 309-yards. While Connor Desch is third in the league throwing for 671-yards and is tied for first in touchdowns with 10. Also, fourth in the conference is Malik White with 230-yards and he is tied for first in receiving touchdowns with four.
- On defense, Carson Mandrell is leading the conference in tackles with 39. On the backend Ethan Sanchez-Maxwell is tied for first in interceptions with two. Also, first in the conference in pass breakups is Darrious Gaines with seven.
- Alec Fonseca in RMAC competition is a perfect 3-for-3 in field goals, drilling two more field goals this weekend.
HARDROCKERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
- South Dakota Mines suffered their first RMAC loss on Saturday (Oct. 1) losing to Black Hills State 17-24). With the loss the Hardrockers are currently in fourth-place in the RMAC standings, holding the tie breaker over New Mexico Highlands who they beat (41-27) the week before.
- Quarterback Jayden Johannsen is the leading rusher for the South Dakota, running for 215-yards and three touchdowns. Right behind him is Bryan Lumsden who has 143-rushing yards and one touchdown. In the pass game, he has thrown for 1,640-yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. Â
- The leading receiver for the Hardrockers is Jeremiah Bridges who has 632-yards and seven touchdowns. Isaiah Eastman has also been a weapon for them, racking up 565-yards and four touchdowns.
- For special teams, Casey Knutsen has been averaging 38.2-yards per punt and has five punts that went 50 plus yards. Connor Taylor is the kicker for South Dakota making 5-of-9 field goals.

Western returns to the road for their next game on Saturday, October 15 against Black Hills State at 12 p.m.
