COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Western Colorado's
JT Miller has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
The Mountaineer placekicker tied the NCAA Division II record for field goals in a game with his 6-for-6 night in Western's 55-0 victory Saturday against Fort Lewis College, a feat that also ties him with two others for most field goals in a game by a Colorado state collegiate player.
His 3-for-3 night on extra points elevated his game total to 21 points, also tying the NCAA DII single-game record for kickers.
Monday's RMAC honor was Miller's second of the season after earning the award in the first week of the season when he hit 7 PATs along with 1 field goal in the Mountaineers' 52-21 win at West Texas A&M.
