GUNNISON, Colo. Coming off a hard-fought win against Fort Lewis College on Tuesday (Dec. 11), Western will look to build on that momentum when they take Metropolitan State University of Denver on Saturday at 5 p.m.
MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
- Katie Dalton had her best game of the season on Tuesday scoring 16 points, while also grabbing six rebounds and making four-of-six free throws.
- Grace Kirscher had the next best night, shooting 50% from the field and three-point line on her way to scoring 11 points in the game. Samantha Coleman had a solid game as well pitching in with 12 points, and was lights out from the free throw line going six-of-six.
- Western will look to continue their success they had on Tuesday, when the made a season high 17 free throws and had a season best 10 turnovers in the game.
- In their three wins this season, the Mountaineers have averaged 64.3 points per game and have shot 47% from the field.
ROADRUNNERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
- Metro State will have some confidence when they step onto the court on Saturday, after they beat Colorado Mesa University (Dec. 5) 56-50.
- Allie Navarette and Jaela Richardson were the leading scorers in the game, each scoring 13 points. The Roadrunners shot 41.1& from the field in that game, but struggled from the three-point line only making 25%.
- Navarette and Richarson are the leading scores for Metro State this season, averaging 11.9 and 11.7 points per game. Additionally, Navarette is the leading rebounder grabbing 7.9 boards a game.
- Morgan Griego is also a scoring threat averaging 10 points per game.

The Mountaineers will be home again on Friday, Dec. 17 taking on Colorado School of Mines at 5:30 p.m. Following the conclusion of that game, Western will be home on Saturday, Dec. 18 facing off against Regis University at 4 p.m.
