GREENWOOD, Ind. College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday announced its 2026 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams with Western Colorado's
Alyssa Eckroth,
Jayda Maves,
Ivey Schmidt and
Penelope Urquhart earning NCAA Division II All-District® honors.
In addition to her district honor, Schmidt has been advanced to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Schmidt, Western's leading scorer this past season, has previously been voted to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) All-Academic First Team, along with earning first-team All-RMAC selection for the second consecutive season.
Eckroth, Maves and Urquhart were members of the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll, while Maves was voted to the All-RMAC second team and Eckroth tabbed for the All-RMAC Honorable Mention team.
The foursome helped lead Western into the RMAC postseason tournament in 2025-26 after doing so in the 2024-25 season.
The Mountaineers in both seasons earned the rights to host a first-round RMAC tournament game, and in 2024-25, won that quarterfinal game to advance into the semifinal round.
That 2024-25 team, with Schmidt, Eckroth, Maves and Urquhart playing integral roles in the season's successes, won 21 games – one shy of the program record.
The CSC Academic All-America® voting now commences, votes submitted by CSC members, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees announced on April 15.
