GUNNISON, Colo. – Western Colorado swimming and diving wins their first home meet of the year for Senior Day. The Mountaineers hosted the Grizzlies of Adams State on Sunday in Paul Wright Natatorium; Western Colorado swam to a 149-93 victory over Adams State.
 
Unofficially the Mountaineers won 14 of the 16 events in Sunday's dual over the Grizzlies.
 
Four of the six seniors on Western Colorado's roster had the opportunity to compete on Senior Day.
 
Seniors:
Nina Crouch – Competed in four events with three second place finishes and one third place finish. Finished runner-up in the 100-Yard Freestyle in a time of 58.72 and the 100-Yard Backstroke with a clocking of 1:04.40. Was also part of the second place 200-Yard Medley Relay Team and 400-Yard Freestyle Relay Team.
 
Amalie Ratliff – Competed in three events with her top finish coming in the 1,000-Yard Freestyle where she came in second with a time of 12:23.84. She also competed in the 100-Yard Butterfly and as a part of the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay Team.
 
Jordyn Richey – Competed in three events earning a relay first place finish followed by two runner-up finishes. Richey was a part of the winning 200-Yard Medley Relay Team as they touched the wall in 1:53.90. She then went on to finish second in the 100-Yard Breaststroke (1:11.47) and the 100-Yard Butterfly (1:05.03).
 
Savannah Tice – Competed in four events and won all four that she swam in. Tice won two individual events and was on two winning relay teams. Her individual victories came in the 100-Yard Backstroke in a time of 58.81 and in the 200-Yard Backstroke in 2:12.87. Was also part of the winning 200-Yard Medley Relay Team (1:53.90) and the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay Team (3:48.79).
