Wallis Culminates Career at NCAA Qualification Meet

EVANSVILLE, Ind.  Western Colorado's Alexandra Wallis closed out her Mountaineer career Tuesday at the 2026 NCAA Division II Diving Qualification Meet, earning on the 3-meter board the highest finishing place at the meet in program history.

Wallis placed 33rd in the day's opening competition on the 3-meter board. Her placement edges out by one spot her coach, Chloe Brown, who finished 34th at the 2025 diving qualification meet.

Performing her 6-dive optionals list, Wallis scored 185.25 points to earn her 33rd place.

After a short break, Wallis and the other divers went to the 1-meter board, where she would finish 35th with 169.80 points.

This was Wallis' third appearance at the diving qualification meet, with both of her finishing placements Tuesday ranking as her highest finishes at the meet.

At the qualifying meet, the top 22 women's divers advance to compete in the DII national championship meet that begins Tuesday evening, March 10 with swimming's 800-yard freestyle relay, and continues through Saturday, March 14 when the DII men's and women's team champions will be crowned.

Wallis finishes her Western Colorado diving career as the program's 3-meter, 6-dive record holder, scoring 272.55 points on Feb. 22, 2025. She qualified for the diving qualification meet in 2023, 2025 and this season.
