The lead was traded back-and-forth early on in the dual before a James Steerman pin gave Slate a 26-19 advantage - the largest lead for either team in the dual. But Crimson won three of the final four matches - including an overtime win by Sammy deSeriere in the final match of the night - to complete the comeback victory.

The Mountaineers open the season next Thursday as they travel to take on Nebraska-Kearney (3 p.m.) and Colorado Mesa (6 p.m.) in Grand Junction. No spectators will be allowed at the event.
