GUNNISON, Colo. – Western State Colorado University will play the final road games of the regular season this weekend. The Mountaineers travel to Fort Lewis College on Friday before heading to Adams State University on Saturday. Both rivalry games are slated to start at 5:30 p.m.

Western (5-16, 4-13 RMAC) has five games remaining on the schedule, with the final three to be played at home, in Paul Wright Gym.

The Mountaineers sit 13
th in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings and are four wins out of eighth place, which is the final spot for the conference tournament.

Western has started fast the past six games and have led at halftime in four of those games.

Harlie Williams leads the Mountaineers in blocks, assists, rebounding, three-point field goals made and is tied in scoring. Williams averages 7.9 points per game and has recorded five blocks, 31 assists, 93 rebounds and 40 three-pointers.

Junior guard,
Brianna Wilber is also averaging a team-high 7.9 points per game.

FLC (16-6, 11-6 RMAC), tied for fifth in the conference, is coming off a 66-50 loss to No. 3 Colorado State University – Pueblo last Saturday.

The Skyhawks boast the RMAC's forth most points per game at 68.9. FLC is also sixth in scoring defense and hold teams to just 34.8 percent shooting from the field, which ranks second best in the conference.

Briana Clah leads the FLC scoring attack, averaging 14.2 points per game. Teammate Alyssa Yocky is just behind Clah, averaging 13.4 points per game.

Western fell to the Skyhawks 56-39 earlier this season. The last Mountaineer victory over FLC came in 2009 when Western won 69-61 in Gunnison. The last win in Durango was a season earlier on Feb. 23, 2008. The Mountaineers defeated the Skyhawks 71-53.

The Grizzlies of ASU (2-18, 1-6 RMAC) are tied for 14
th in the conference standings. ASU's lone win this season came last Saturday when they defeated New Mexico Highlands University 72-70 on the road. The Grizzlies are 0-8 this season at home in Alamosa, Colorado.

 ASU averages the second most steals per game in the conference. The Grizzlies are averaging 8.71 steals per game this season.

Cydney McHenry leads ASU in scoring, averaging 9.7 points per game.

The Mountaineers defeated the Grizzlies earlier this season, 41-39, in Gunnison. The last Western win in Alamosa came on March 1, 2014 when the Mountaineers earned a 49-40 victory.
