GUNNISON, Colo. – Western State Colorado University basketball will end the 2015-16 season on Friday night at Colorado State University – Pueblo. The Mountaineer women will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the men following at 7:30 p.m. in Massari Arena.

The Western men will be looking to finish the season by winning three of their final four games. The Mountaineers defeated Adams State University 99-98 on Feb. 13 and Colorado Christian University 100-89 last Saturday. Western fell to Colorado School of Mines last Friday 99-71.

The Mountaineers (6-21, 5-16 RMAC) will be looking to avenge a three-point loss, 87-84, to CSU-Pueblo (11-10, 15-12 RMAC) earlier in the season. The last Western win over the ThunderWolves came on Jan. 7, 2012 when the Mountaineers outscored CSU-Pueblo 76-72 in Gunnison.

Western is currently seventh in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Rocky Division. The ThunderWolves are fifth in the Rocky Division and will be playing for the final spot in the RMAC Tournament on Friday night.

The Mountaineers are currently in a three-way tie for sixth place in the RMAC's Rocky Division. CSU-Pueblo is second and has already clinched a spot in the conference tournament.
