WESTERN COLORADO GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2025 STATS
  • The Western Colorado volleyball team continues to show growth and determination throughout the 2025 season, with several bright spots across all areas of play.
  • The Mountaineers display balance on offense, recording 402 total kills, led by standout hitters Liv Marshall with 111 and Olive Rolseth with 109. Their ability to spread the attack makes the team less predictable and gives multiple players the chance to make an impact at the net.
  • The serving game has also been a positive, as Western puts away 61 total service aces, with both Marshall and Kyra Kidd reaching double digits at 11 apiece.
  • Defensively, the Mountaineers show resilience by finishing with 442 digs, averaging more than 11 per set.
  • Galatia Andrew leads the way in the back row with 126 digs and a steady reception percentage, helping the team stay organized against tough opponents.
  • At the net, the Mountaineers receive contributions from several players, including Kidd with 27 total blocks, Breanna Nohava with 25, and Emalie Depew with 22.
  • Their collective effort on the front line demonstrates a foundation that can continue to grow stronger as the season progresses.
  • The team's offensive rhythm is guided by setter Kaira Willits, who has totaled 164 assists, giving hitters consistent opportunities to score.
  • Rolseth has also been a key all-around contributor, adding not only kills but also digs and reliable serve receive work, showcasing her versatility and value on both sides of the ball.
  • Ball control has been a strong point for Western, as they average only 0.03 ball-handling errors per set, showing composure and discipline in high-pressure moments.

COLORADO MESA GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2025 STATS
  • The Colorado Mesa Mavericks have opened the 2025 campaign with a strong 7-4 overall record, and 3-1 RMAC record: showing balance on both sides of the ball.
  • Offensively, the team has totaled 176 kills on 449 attempts for a .274 hitting percentage, while limiting their opponents to just 137 kills and a .112 clip.
  • The Mavericks are also excelling at the service line, tallying 26 aces—nearly two per set—compared to only 13 by their opponents.
  • Defensively, they've been equally dominant, collecting 216 digs for an average of 15.4 per set, while also controlling the net with 32 total blocks, more than double the 20 blocks recorded against them.
  • Junior outside hitter Sadie Scoville leads the attack with 35 kills and is also the team's most dangerous server with nine aces.
  • Henley Madsen has provided another reliable option with 33 kills, while Charleston Tidwell adds 30 kills to round out a balanced front line.
  • At setter, Addie Swanson has directed the offense with a team-high 74 assists.
  • On the defensive side, libero Allison Waller anchors the back row with 55 digs, averaging nearly four per set, while middle blocker Aesha Alrashed has been a force at the net, posting 17 total blocks to lead the squad.
 
WESTMINSTER GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2025 STATS
  • Westminster has posted an 8-3 overall record, 2-1 in conference play, reflecting a strong start to the 2025 season.
  • The Griffins have nearly broken even in kills, with 538 kills on 1,540 attempts for a .226 team hitting percentage, while opponents have recorded 535 kills on 1,633 attempts, hitting .179.
  • In the assist department, Westminster has tallied 496 assists (11.3 per set), slightly edging the opposition's 488 (11.1 per set).
  • Defensively, the Griffins have registered 716 digs (16.3 per set) versus opponents' 659 (15.0 per set), and at the net they lead in blocking with 100 total blocks (2.3 per set) to opponents' 74.5 (1.7 per set).
  • Serve statistics are more contentious: Westminster has served 62 aces but committed 81 service errors, while opponents have 69 aces and 82 service errors.
  • On the individual front, Mailei Myers stands out offensively with 80 kills on 191 attempts and a .309 hitting clip, along with 12 service aces.
  • Breegan Huntsman also has been a reliable contributor with 98 kills and 11 aces. Brooklyn Easton and Apiline White add balance to the attack, especially in high-usage rotations.
