David Green Joins Mountaineer VB Program

Western Colorado University volleyball is pleased to announce the hiring of David Green as the program's new Assistant Coach.

Green brings a wealth of volleyball expertise, having spent nearly a decade developing athletes at both the junior club and collegiate levels.

Most notably, he served as Assistant Coach at New Mexico Military Institute from 2022 to 2023, where he played a key role in two exceptional seasons. During his tenure, he helped the team to an undefeated regular season conference championship in 2023 and a conference tournament championship in 2022, with a ninth-place finish at the NJCAA national tournament.

His coaching contributed to the development of multiple All-Americans, including a conference MVP and back-to-back Defensive Players of the Year.

Green has extensive club coaching experience, including with Momentum Volleyball Club in the greater Denver area, where he served as both coach and Recruiting Coordinator. His technical expertise spans setting, offensive systems, and defensive systems, while his commitment to mentorship and player development ensures athletes grow both on and off the court.

Green is currently pursuing his B.S. in business administration from Western Governors University and is passionate about his mission: to inspire athletes to reach their highest potential through relentless pursuit of excellence.
