COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Thursday afternoon released its 2025 Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll, listing Western Colorado in 10th with a total of 50 points.
In addition, the announcement included the 2025 Preseason All-RMAC Team, a list that includes the Mountaineers'
Natsuki Murakami, a senior midfielder who led Western last season with eight points (3 goals, 2 assists) and was a second-team All-RMAC player in 2024.
Returning regular season and tournament champion Colorado School of Mines leads the poll with nine first-place votes and a total of 140 points, ahead of second place University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (130 points), which earned three first-place votes. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own teams in the polling.
Western finished with a 3-6-3 conference mark last season, a ninth-place finish that was one spot shy of qualifying for the RMAC postseason tournament.
The Mountaineers open the 2025 campaign on the road with a pair of neutral-site games on September 4 and 6, playing Southwestern Oklahoma University and Oklahoma Christian University on those respective dates.
The home opener for Western is also a non-conference matchup, taking place on Wed., Sept. 10 at Katy O. Rady Field against visiting West Texas A&M University.
The Mountaineers' RMAC slate opens at Colorado State University Pueblo on Fri., Sept. 26.
