WCU will be on the road against West Texas A&M, New Mexico Highlands, Black Hills State, Colorado School of Mines and Colorado Mesa.

Western Colorado will open its season with the grand opening of the Mountaineer Bowl at the Rady Family Sports Complex with its first ever meeting with Midwestern State on Saturday, Sept. 7. For the grand opening of the Mountaineer Bowl, there will be activities for fans to participate in before the game.

The Mountaineers first road game of the season will be against West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas on Sept. 14. Western Colorado won last season's meeting, 28-6 in Gunnison, after dropping their first three meetings.

Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play will begin on Sept. 21 with the Mountaineers hosting Adams State for the 77th Colorado Classic and Homecoming. The Mountaineers have won the past three contests against the Grizzlies including a 45-24-win last season. The Mountaineers are looking for their first win against the Orediggers since 2016, when they won 45-31 at home. Last season was the first time the two schools met up while ranked within the top-10.

Following their trip to Golden, Western Colorado will look to extend its winning streak to four against CSU Pueblo on Nov. 2 while hosting a military appreciation day. The Mountaineers will close their home schedule and celebrate their seniors on Nov. 9 against Chadron State.
