INDIANAPOLIS  Western Colorado's 17th-ranked Mountaineers will take its varsity 10 to the 45th Annual Midwest Classic, looking to equal or better last season's 18th place at the Classic.

The Mountaineers are 1-2 in duals and 1-0 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference competition this season.

The Western lineup includes a trio of ranked wrestlers, beginning with Dean Noble at 149 pounds.

Listed at No. 5 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) rankings, Noble is 5-0 and has yet to need to go the distance in a match. He has recorded two technical fall wins and three pins across his early-season unbeaten streak.

Ranked third by the NWCA at 174 pounds is Cole Hernandez, who is also unbeaten with a 5-0 record. Hernandez has rung up two tech falls, one pin, and two major decisions. Hernandez finished third in the bracket last season at the Classic.

Cole Gray, No. 8 at 184 pounds, will be wrestling in his first matches of the season.
