The Mountaineers came out of halftime down by 11 after the Cougars were able to capitalize off 10 turnovers from the Mountaineers, while the Cougars tallied just four turnovers. The Cougars outscored the Mountaineers 43-32 in the first half. Â

Rachel Cockman had nine points in the third leading the Mountaineers comeback leading the Mountaineers to outscore Colorado Christian 21-14 in the third. In the third, the Mountaineers made 58% of their shots from the paint, while making just 40% of their shots in the fourth. Â

After ending the third quarter ahead just four points, the Cougars offense scored first in the final quarter and extended their lead by eight. Ivey Schmidt played a big role in the fourth quarter, scoring 13 points in the final 10 minutes. Alyssa Eckroth also made an impact in the fourth quarter with six points including a jump shot with 38 seconds left in the game.Â

Ivey Schmidt led the Mountaineers with 20 points, while going 6-for-7 from the field, 2-for-2 from beyond the arch and 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Schmidt also registered six rebounds in the contest. Jayda Maves and Alyssa Eckroth contributed 12 points each while both went 2-for-2 from the charity stripe. Erika Lane tallied six rebounds with four defensive boards. Â

For the Cougars, Maggie Hutka registered a game-high 27 points while Nicole Bowlin recorded 21 points. Â
