Mountaineers Open VB Head Coach Search

GUNNISON, Colo.  Director of Athletics Miles Van Hee has announced the official opening of the head coach search for the Western Colorado volleyball program.

Responsibilities:   Responsible for providing leadership, planning, organizing, and for administering all aspects of, the Western's Women's Volleyball program including but not limited to:  providing strong leadership, recruiting highly qualified student-athletes, practice and competition scheduling, coaching athletes in practice and games, maintenance of a strong academic environment, supervision of coaching staff, maintaining budget, conducting and managing all facets of camps, cultivate alumni, direct involvement working with program specific fund-raising as well as participation in Athletic Department fund-raising. Limited other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree preferred. Three years collegiate Volleyball coaching experience preferred. Knowledge of NCAA Division II Volleyball practices and regulations, must become NCAA II recruiting certified, ability to establish good rapport and relationships with players, administrators, staff, alumni and the general public. Must have proven administrative, organizational, and recruiting skills

Compensation:  Salary range of $55,000-$65,000. Position is eligible for an excellent benefits package including health and dental insurance plans with low co-pays and low out of pocket maximums, generous paid time off, a shared contribution retirement plan and, after one year of employment, tuition benefits.
