DURANGO, Colo. Western Colorado will look to respond and get back on track on Saturday (Nov.3) when they take on Fort Lewis College on the road at 12 p.m.
MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
- Western will look to finish the season with a winning record, after a loss last week to Colorado School of Mines ended their chance of sharing the Rocky Mountain Athleic Conference title this season.
- In seven RMAC games the Mountaineers have the sixth best offense scoring 29 points per game and have the sixth best defense giving up 25.7 points per game. Western's offense averages 362.7 yards per game, while the defense allows 408.3 yards per game.
- Josh Cummings is third in the RMAC in rushing yards with 557 yards, averaging 79.6 yards per game, and three touchdowns. Passing wise, Connor Desch has thrown for 1,428 yards (sixth best), and 15 touchdowns (fourth best). On the receiving end Malik White is eighth in receiving yards with 391 yards and six touchdowns (second best).
- On the defensive side, in seven RMAC games Carson Mandrell is second in the RMAC in tackles with 58. Darrious Gaines has six pass break ups (fourth best) and Ethan Sanchez-Maxwell is tied for first in interceptions with three.
SKYHAWKS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
- It has been a rough season for Fort Lewis as they have lost every game so far this season. They have the worse offense and defense in the RMAC, scoring 8 points per game, while giving up 60 points per game. Overall, they average 221.1 yards on offense and give up 545 yards on defense.
- Jeff Hansen is the leading rusher for the Skyhawks with 140 yards and one touchdown. In the pass game, Braden Wingle has thrown for 897 yards and four touchdowns in seven RMAC games. Christopher Thomas Jr is their leading receiver with 259 yards and two touchdowns.
- On defense, Carter Cameron is fifth in the RMAC in tackles with 55, 39 being solo. Max Hyson has the most tackles for loss for Fort Lewis with 8 and 3.5 sacks. On the backend Parker Cunningham has one interception and one broken up pass.

Western returns home for their final home game of the season on Saturday (Nov. 12) at 1 p.m. taking on rival Adams State in the Colorado Classic.
