KEARNEY, Neb.  Western Colorado will look to duplicate the success they had against New Mexico Highlands (Jan. 8) on Saturday, Jan. 22 when they travel to Kearney, Neb., to compete in the Midwest Duals.
 
MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND

• Western will look to build off the success they had the Western open (Jan. 7), where Alex Alvarez (141), Walker Heckendorf (157) and Zachary Schraeder (285) each claimed titles in their respective weight classes.
• Jacob McCarley (149) also shinned earning third place, while Bini Barila (125) finished fifth and Colby Clatterbaugh (197) finished eighth.
• Things didn't go quiet as well for the Mountaineers at the Tracy Borah Duals (Jan. 8). However, they had a lot of bright moments.
• Zachery Flowers (133) went 2-0, Cole Hernandez (174) went 2-1, and Dean Noble (141), Jason Hanenberg (149) and Sammy deSeriere (285) each won their lone match they wrestled in.

The Mountaineers will return home for their next dual., taking on Colorado School of Mines on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m.
