GUNNISON, Colo. --- The Western Colorado wrestling team will compete in its first RMAC dual of the season as the Mountaineers travel to take on No. 25 Chadron State 5 p.m. Friday at the Chicoine Center. 

It will be the Mountaineers' first action since going 1-2 at the Midwest Duals in Kearney, Nebraska - beating Fort Hays State and falling to No. 3 Central Oklahoma and Newman. No. 12 Jason Hanenberg paced Western by going 3-0 - picking up two pins in less than 45 seconds each. Dean Noble went 2-0 - including a win over No. 8 Nate Keim of Central Oklahoma.

Chadron State is coming off a 23-16 win over CSU Pueblo on Jan. 28 and has won three duals in a row - including going 2-1 at the Midwest Duals with wins over Newman and Central Missouri and falling to No. 10 Adams State in what counted as an RMAC dual. The Eagles' other RMAC loss came at home against Colorado Mesa. The Eagles have one wrestler ranked, Rowdy Pfeil sits at No. 4 at 174 pounds.
