LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- Western Colorado falls 3-1 on the road to N.M. Highlands on Friday night, keeping them ranked sixth in the RMAC post-season standings.

The Mountaineers quickly went down 2-0 to the cowgirls, as they took the first set 25-10 and the second set 25-22. Western Colorado then fought back and were able to clinch the third set with a dominate 25-18 victory, but were unable to carry that momentum into the third set as N.M. Highlands closed out the match with another 25-22 set.

Alex Galicia continues to impress, as she led the team with 20 assist, had the only ace for the Mountaineers and recorded the second most digs on the team with 10 digs. Recording the most digs was libero
Elizabeth Rupprecht with 20 digs on the night.

Also taking on the setting duties, was Mountaineer
Hailee Martinez as she recorded 15 assists over the four set match.

At the net,
Kat Finnerty,
Savanna Meyer and
Jaeda Davis-Golliher all recorded four blocks on the night. The Mountaineers put up nine total blocks in the match, but that was no match to the Cowgirls 16 blocks on Western Colorado.

Offensively, Davis-Golliher led the team with 11 kills on the night, as Mountaineers Finnerty and Meyer each earned eight kills.
