GUNNISON, Colo. --- Western Colorado volleyball defeated Chadron State College to earn their third conference win on Saturday afternoon as the Mountaineers won 3-1 (W, 27-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23).

The Mountaineers started strong, sending the first set into overtime and winning it 27-25 to give them the momentum. Chardon State fought back in the second set as they tied it up with a 25-23 victory. Western Colorado then won the next two sets to clinch the match.

Kat Finnerty made it tough on the Eagles at the net as she recorded six blocks in the match, along with earning eight kills (the third most for the Mountaineers).
Jordyn Todd and
Jaeda Davis-Golliher each led the Mountaineers with nine kills. Davis-Golliher also recorded four blocks as Todd Had two aces and 18 digs.

Lexi Wilmoth and
Hailee Martinez shared the setting duties as Wilmoth had 17 assists and Martinez recorded 18 assists. Martinez also earned a service ace.

The Mountaineers will be back in action next week as they host Westminster College on Friday, Oct. 8 and Colorado Mesa on Saturday, Oct. 9 in Paul Wright Gym.
