GUNNISON, Colo. --- Western Colorado falls to Colorado School of Mines in a three set match (L, 7-25, 14-25, 16-25) on Friday night, handing the Mountaineers their third conference loss of the season.
 
The Mountaineers had a tough go against Colorado School of Mines as the match began with the Orediggers outscoring Western Colorado by 18 points. The Mountaineers only got better from there, but were still unable to contest against Colorado School of Mines as they swept Western Colorado in three.
 
In the three set match, the Mountaineers put up 19 assists with eight coming from 
Hailee Martinez, seven from 
Alex Galicia, and four from 
Lexi Wilmoth. Six different Mountaineers recorded a kill on the night, led by 
Savanna Meyer who earned six individual kills.
 
Meyer and 
Kat Finnerty each recorded a block in the match, with teammate 
Elizabeth Rupprecht earing the most digs for the team with 10 on the night.
 
Jordyn Todd recorded two service aces, as 
Hailee Martinez earned one.
 
The Mountaineers will be back in action tomorrow night as they host Chadron State on Saturday Oct. 2 in Paul Wright Gym.
