Gunnison Colo. – Western Colorado University women's swimming and diving dominate the Trifecta Invite by winning 9 out of 11 events. Western outscored the University of Nebraska-Kearney 165-37, and outscored Adams State University 151-53.

Randi Yarnell being Western's only senior had her last race in Paul Wright Natatorium, but ended it by breaking her own pool record in the 100 yard freestyle. Her old record was 53.17 and in today's meet she won with a time of 53.05. Yarnell also won the 50 yard freestyle only point two seconds off her own pool record.Â

In the 200 yard freestyle, Western walked away with first second and third.
Savannah Tice won the event (2:05.25), with
Kali Stier (2:07.84) and
Mikaela Romano (2:10.25) closely behind.Â

Sydney Skiles won both the 200 yard IM in 2:21.68 and the 500 yard freestyle in 5:42.15.

In the 100 yard butterfly
Jordyn Richey finished first with a time of 1:03.36.

Kali Stier won the 100 yard backstroke, Stier was also a member of the winning 400 yard freestyle relay, along with
Savannah Tice,
Caroline Katzmann and
Jocelyn Jo.

Alex Johnson (1:10.89) and Alex McCoy (1:15.72) finished one and two in the 100 yard breaststroke.

After a successful weekend, Western looks forward to the RMAC Championships that take place in three weeks in Lewisville, Texas.
