GUNNISON, Colo. – Western State Colorado University plays their final home match of the season this Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Paul Wright Gym. The Mountaineers host New Mexico Highlands University on Senior Night, where Western will honor four graduating seniors.

Following Senior Night on Tuesday, Western (2-23, 1-15 RMAC) will travel to Alamosa, Colorado for the season finale against Adams State University (12-13, 8-8 RMAC) at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Kaitlin Verhagen will all be recognized before the start of the match against NMHU (8-13, 5-11 RMAC).

Eatwell has recorded a team-high 208 kills this season. It's the third time in four seasons that Eatwell has led the team in kills, recording 1,022 during her career. Eatwell has played 374 sets in a Mountaineer uniform, averaging 2.73 kills per set. The senior has recorded 524 digs, 136 blocks, 76 aces, 41 assists and 1,169 career points. Eatwell has twice earned All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Third Team honors.

Franek is Western's leader in digs and aces this season. Franek has recorded 330 digs in 2017 and 909 during her career. Her 38 service aces this season leads the conference and ties for sixth most in program history with Jessica Whyde's 38 in 1996. For her career, Franek has recorded 60 aces, 66 assists and 10 kills. Franek was also named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll this season.

Price played one season for the Mountaineers after transferring to Western from Idaho State University. Price has made an appearance in 20 matches and 58 sets this season. Price has recorded 25 kills, nine aces, totaling 34 points. Her 134 digs ranks fourth best on the team.

Verhagen has recorded 48 kills in her career, including 20 this season. Verhagen has appeared in 22 matches and 47 sets during her career. This season, Verhagen has started in four matches, recording seven blocks, 13 digs and one ace.

The NMHU Cowgirls come into the final week of the season ranked 11
th in the RMAC standings. NMHU is 2-2 in their last four matches, defeating Fort Lewis College and CSU-Pueblo. The Cowgirls lost to Adams State University and Westminster College.

NMHU and Western will both test each other's back line on the serve as the Cowgirls average 1.49 aces per set, while the Mountaineers are averaging 1.48 per set.

ASU enters the week ranked seventh in the conference standings. The Grizzlies have lost their last two matches and will face CSU-Pueblo on Friday night, prior to the match against Western on Saturday.

The Grizzlies lead the conference in total blocks with 2,080 and average blocks per set at 21.67.
