GOLDEN, Colo. – Western State Colorado University wrestling won all 10 bouts in Saturday's dual against Colorado School of Mines. The Mountaineers won the dual by a score of 40-0.

Saturday's win was the first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference dual victory of the season for Western (5-4, 1-1 RMAC).

Saturday's 40-point win for Western was the largest margin of victory for the Mountaineers since they defeated New Mexico Highlands University 43-3 on Feb. 12, 2015.

The CSM dual also the first shutout for Western wrestling since defeating NMHU 38-0 on Feb. 12, 2013.

The Mountaineers received bonus points in six of the 10 matches, including a forfeit for
Michael Henry in the final match of the night at 285 pounds.

Ronald Wardleigh,
Ian Steen,
Brandon Supernaw,
Konnor Schmidt, and
Ben Price also earned Western bonus points.

Wardleigh at 125 pounds and Steen at 149 pounds each earned technical falls. No. 2 Wardleigh won his match 15-0, while Steen won by a score of 19-3.

Supernaw at 174 pounds, Schmidt at 184 pounds and Price at 197 pounds went back-to-back-to-back with major decisions. Supernaw won his match 18-7, while Schmidt won 16-3 and Price won 15-3.

Tyler Hanenberg at 133 pounds,
Seth Rich at 141 pounds,
Shawn Beiriger at 157 pounds, and
Travis Bradford at 165 pounds each earned a win by decision.

The Mountaineers return home next week for a pair of duals. Western hosts No. 13 CSU-Pueblo on Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Paul Wright Gym before hosting No. 2 University of Nebraska Kearney at 7 p.m. on Friday night.
