GUNNISON, Colo. – Western State Colorado University volleyball's four seniors will play their final matches in Paul Wright Gym this weekend. The Mountaineers will host Metro State University Denver on Friday night and UC-Colorado Springs on Saturday. Both matches will begin at 7 p.m.
Heading into the weekend, Western volleyball (12-14, 9-6 RMAC) has a chance to do something no Mountaineer volleyball team has done since 2003. Western can lock-in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament spot with a win this weekend.
However, wins won't come easy for Western. MSU Denver (16-9, 12-3 RMAC) and UC-Colorado Springs (15-9, 10-5 RMAC) are ranked second and sixth in the RMAC standings respectively. The Mountaineers enter the weekend seventh in the RMAC standings. For a complete look at the RMAC standings,

Following this weekend's matches, Western will travel to CSU-Pueblo for the season finale on Thursday, Nov. 12. CSU-Pueblo (9-14, 7-8 RMAC) currently sits two matches behind the Mountaineers.
Much of the Mountaineers success this season is due to their four senior leaders. These four will play their final home matches in front of the Mountaineer faithful this weekend.
Taylor Castillo (Sr., Kiowa, Colorado) came to Western last season as a transfer from Snow College in Utah. In just two years, Castillo has recorded 296 kills in 43 matches played, averaging 2.16 kills per set. Castillo has posted double-digit kills in 10 matches during her career; including a career high 18 kills against Fort Lewis College last season. Castillo has appeared in every match this season.
Alyssa Magalong (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colorado) also came to Western as a transfer. Magalong joined the Mountaineers last season, after two years at Colorado Northwestern C.C. Magalong has appeared in 33 matches during her career, recording over 100 digs. Magalong recorded a Western career high of nine digs against Angelo State earlier this season. She was also an RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.
Hailey Rehage (Sr., Longmont, Colorado) has played 94 matches in her career as a Mountaineer.
Her career numbers total 324 kills, 118 digs, 58 service aces and 165 total blocks. Rehage holds the fifth most block assists in a match in Western history with 10 against Colorado Mesa University in 2012. A two-time RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection, Rehage has recorded double-digit point totals in 15 matches, including a career high 17 points at Western New Mexico University last season. Rehage led the team with 38 block assists in 2014.
Tepora Su'a (Sr., San Diego, California) has recorded the second most assists on the team every season since 2012. In total, Su'a has recorded 718 assists, averaging 3.97 per set. Su'a has also recorded 209 digs, 22 service aces and 42 kills in 69 matches played. She recorded a career high 50-assist night against Black Hills State University last season. Su'a has recorded double-digit assists in 28 matches during her career. In four of those matches Su'a also recorded double-digit digs. Su'a also leads the Mountaineers this season with a .476 attacking percentage.
